- The development of an individualized template for home practice
- Building a library of foundational postures
- Introduction to the breath and its importance to your practice
- Nurturing a meditation practice
This one day experiential workshop will provide you with tools to foster growth, whether you are a novice or mature practitioner of yoga.
9:30 – 10:00am – Opening circle and meditation
10:15am – 12:00pm – Bones and muscles for life – attention to the alignment and movement within postures to strengthen bone and enhance range of motion
12:00 – 1:15pm – Lunch (provided)
1:30 – 3:00pm – Breath: learn how the body breathes and how breath training and movement are connected to the nervous system, mind, and emotion
3:00pm – closing circle
Jonathan Ellis has been teaching movement since 1987. He has trained hundreds of students to move without pain & is regarded as one of Chattanooga’s leading movement educators. His experience has helped his students to move in ways they never thought possible. As a teacher, Jonathan transforms his groups through skillful & effective teaching, enabling them to reach their movement potential.
