Join us on the trails between the Mountain and the Creek as registered herbalist and author CoreyPine Shane leads a spring plant walk and medicine making workshop at Rising Fawn Gardens.

CoreyPine Shane RH (AHG), founder and Director of the Blue Ridge School of Herbal Medicine near Asheville, NC, has spent over 25 years helping clients and teaching people by artfully blending Chinese and Western herbal traditions with a focus on local plants. His new book “Southeast Medicinal Plants” covers how to identify, ethically harvest, and use the wild plants of the Southeast. CoreyPine has taught across the United States and in Europe, at many national herb conferences, and is a Professional Member of the American Herbalists Guild.

CoreyPine will be our glorious guide for a two hour walk through the woods in search of the ever-so-wise-and-giving medicinal plants of Southern Appalachia. There will be a 30 minute break for lunch following the walk, so bring a picnic to enjoy on a rock near the calming sounds of Lookout Creek, on the charming yoga house deck, or on a blanket in the sprawling front field. After lunch, CoreyPine will lead or demonstrate medicine making….
